Two auditors entered data at five sites each and each of the remaining four auditors re-abstracted data at one site each. Figure 1 shows a flow sheet of the data collection process. Missing (not entered) data were also evaluated as part of the re-abstraction and were found to be associated with the following variables: antenatal steroids, forceps/vacuum, episiotomy, laceration and smoking. The missing data were limited to only three sites (F, J and K; see Figure 1).
