Recurrent genital herpes of the mons venus

Originally thought to be due to recurrent impetigo because they would clear in 7 days with the use of antibacterial cream, these lesions are actually attributable to genital herpes. Any recurrent lesions in the S2 or S3 nerve territories can be due to HSV infection and should be investigated appropriately.
