Martha's Case: The Unwelcome Phone Call

Correct! The answer is 2: Multiple Nabothian Cysts

speculum examination

The multiple whitish growths on the cervix represent nabothian cysts - which result from blocked cervical glandular canals. They are benign and do not require treatment. Otherwise Martha's cervix appears to be normal. There are no other obvious lesions or mucopurulent cervical discharge associated with cervicitis.

A bimanual examination is unremarkable.
