Martha, 18 years old, comes to your office because she has received a message on her answering machine from a sexual partner with whom she had unprotected sex two weeks ago. He has accused her of giving him "the drip". He gave no further information about his symptoms or treatment and she doesn't know how to reach him.
Martha is upset - and convinced that she couldn't have given him an infection - because she doesn't have any symptoms.
Is it possible that despite her lack of symptoms, Martha could have transmitted an infection to her partner?
