This 48-page booklet describes 40 projects funded under the Falls Prevention Initiative, a community-based health promotion initiative to help identify effective falls prevention strategies for veterans and seniors. During the first phase of funding, priority was given to developmental projects aimed at building community capacity. Priorities addressed in the second and third phases were: Physical Environment; Personal Health Practices; High Risk Populations; and Assistive Devices. Each listing includes information on the sponsor organization, project partners, objectives and activities, level of funding, and results or products of the project.
