Canada: As of August 29, 2003 a total of 438 cases; 251 probable (1 active) and 187 suspect (0 active) have been reported in Canada. See tables 1 and 2 for today's breakdown of case status by affected province/territory. There have been no changes since the last report. The most recent date of onset of illness for a probable case is June 12, 2003; this case was quarantined on June 4, 2003. The most recent date of isolation for a probable case is June 12, 2003; this case had onset of illness on June 8, 2003.

International: WHO continues to consolidate global surveillance data for the outbreak period, from November 1, 2002 to August 7, 2003 and has published these findings on their website.
