As of today, the World Health Organization has removed Toronto from its list of areas with recent local transmission. Twenty days have passed without the detection of a new case.

The most recent date of onset of illness for a probable case is June 12, 2003; this case was quarantined on June 4, 2003. The most recent date of isolation for a probable case is June 12, 2003; this case had onset of illness on June 8, 2003.
