Planning the Public Health Workforce

The Office of Public Health Practice actively supports the implementation of the Pan-Canadian Framework for Public Health Human Resources Planning (PDF1511KB), which was approved by the Conference of Deputy Ministers of Health in October, 2005. We do this in collaboration with the task group on Public Health Human Resources of the Public Health Network. This task group was created to address the goals outlined in the planning framework. It is co-chaired by Dr. Elinor Wilson, CEO of the Canadian Public Health Association and Dr. David Mowat, Deputy Chief Public Health Officer, Public Health Agency of Canada.
