Narration
This is Sean, a public health professional. Or it could be Claire or Anjali or François. The thing is, while our workforce is diverse, we all face the same challenges.
Meetings.
Meetings!
With schedules crammed so tight, who has time for professional development? Sneaking out for an afternoon session, or even several days away from work? Not likely for Sean. But, there is a way.
Skills Online helps public health practitioners to meet the Core Competencies for Public Health practice in Canada.
Skills Online is a public health professional development program that is bilingual, practical, endorsed by public health organizations across Canada, award-winning and is based on Canadian Content.
The online modules are mapped to the Core Competencies for Public Health in Canada.
In facilitated modules, learners are placed in cohorts of approximately 15 public health professionals from across the country. These modules are led by skilled facilitators, and help you to meet the continuing education requirements of your professional group.
Self-directed module topics are also available. Either way, work is completed on your schedule, wherever, whenever.
Through Skills Online, Sean is not only expanding his knowledge and skills, he’s also expanding his public health network. He’s learning from the curriculum and also from others in his cohort like Claire, Anjali and François.
A series of modules are available through Skills Online, covering public health topics such as Outbreak Investigations, Epidemiology of Chronic Diseases, Basic Biostatistics and more.
Facilitated sessions are affordable, and self-directed modules are available at no charge.
