5. CASE STUDY: THE FATHER INVOLVEMENT INITIATIVE OF ONTARIO

The Ontario Region's case initiative, the Father Involvement Initiative (FII-ON), is aimed at developing and strengthening supportive conditions for father involvement in healthy child development by consolidating community mobilization into intersectoral actions. Begun with eight communities in Eastern Ontario, it is now expanding into other regions and developing a strong and vibrant movement in support of developing policies and programs related to father involvement.
