Figure 4.4 is a line graph that shows the approximate percentage of students who report that they like school a lot, by grade, gender, and year of survey. The graph shows that among Grade 6 boys, approximately 19% reported that they like school a lot in 1990, compared to approximately 30% in 1994, approximately 29% in 1998, approximately 24% in 2002, approximately 24% in 2006, and approximately 26% in 2010. Among Grade 8 boys, approximately 18% reported that they like school a lot in 1990, compared to approximately 20% in 1994, approximately 18% in 1998, approximately 17% in 2002, approximately 19% in 2006, and approximately 20% in 2010. Among Grade 10 boys, approximately 17% reported that they like school a lot in 1990, compared to approximately 20% in 1994, 18% in 1998, 16% in 2002, 20% in 2006, and 17% in 2010. On the same question, approximately 37% of Grade 6 girls reported that they like school a lot in 1990, compared to approximately 46% in 1994, approximately 41% in 1998, approximately 36% in 2002, approximately 44% in 2006, and approximately 40% in 2010. Among Grade 8 girls, approximately 25% reported that they like school a lot in 1990, compared to approximately 28% in 1994, approximately 25% in 1998, approximately 21% in 2002, approximately 30% in 2006, and approximately 28% in 2010. Among Grade 10 girls, approximately 21% reported that they like school a lot in 1990, compared to approximately 24% in 1994, approximately 23% in 1998, approximately 20% in 2002, approximately 30% in 2006, and approximately 21% in 2010.
