Figure 4.2 is a line graph that shows the approximate percentage of students who report that teachers think their school work is good or very good, by grade, gender, and year of survey. The graph shows that among Grade 6 boys, approximately 68% reported that teachers think their school work is good or very good in 1990, compared to approximately 75% in 1994, approximately 72% in 1998, approximately 70% in 2002, approximately 74% in 2006, and approximately 73% in 2010. Among Grade 8 boys, approximately 63% reported that teachers think their school work is good or very good in 1990, compared to approximately 67% in 1994, approximately 60% in 1998, approximately 60% in 2002, approximately 61% in 2006, and approximately 61% in 2010. Among Grade 10 boys, approximately 61% reported that teachers think their school work is good or very good in 1990, compared to approximately 62% in 1994, approximately 61% in 1998, approximately 56% in 2002, approximately 56% in 2006, and approximately 59% in 2010. On the same question, among Grade 6 girls, approximately 80% reported that teachers think their school work is good or very good in 1990, compared to approximately 82% in 1994, approximately 80% in 1998, approximately 77% in 2002, approximately 80% in 2006, and approximately 80% in 2010. Among Grade 8 girls, approximately 70% reported that teachers think their school work is good or very good in 1990, compared to approximately 77% in 1994, approximately 75% in 1998, approximately 65% in 2002, approximately 76% in 2006, and approximately 68% in 2010. Among Grade 10 girls, approximately 69% reported that teachers think their school work is good or very good in 1990, compared to approximately 72% in 1994, approximately 74% in 1998, approximately 64% in 2002, approximately 70% in 2006, and approximately 68% in 2010.
