Figure 4.13 shows the percentage of students reporting high levels of emotional problems based on their academic achievement, by gender. The graph shows that 24% of boys with excellent academic achievement report high levels of emotional problems, compared to 23% of boys with above average academic achievement, 29% of boys with average academic achievement, and 38% of boys with below average academic achievement. On the same question, 33% of girls with excellent academic achievement report high levels of emotional problems, compared to 38% of girls with above average academic achievement, 47% of girls with average academic achievement, and 54% of girls with below average academic achievement.
