Figure 4.11 is a line graph that shows the approximate percentage of students who feel a lot of pressure because of school work, by grade, gender and year of survey. The graph shows that among Grade 6 boys, approximately 10% of boys reported feeling a lot of pressure because of school work in 1994, compared to approximately 10% in 1998, approximately 9% in 2002, approximately 8% in 2006, and approximately 8% in 2010. Among Grade 8 boys, approximately 16% reported feeling a lot of pressure because of school work in 1994, compared to approximately 18% in 1998, approximately 13% in 2002, approximately 15% in 2006, and approximately 13% in 2010. Among Grade 10 boys, approximately 20% reported feeling a lot of pressure because of school work, compared to approximately 21% in 1998, approximately 16% in 2002, approximately 18% in 2006, and approximately 18% in 2010. On the same question, among Grade 6 girls, approximately 7% reported feeling a lot of pressure because of school work, compared to approximately 8% in 1998, approximately 6% in 2002, approximately 6% in 2006, and approximately 9% in 2010. Among Grade 8 girls, approximately 15% reported feeling a lot of pressure because of school work in 1994, compared to approximately 18% in 1998, approximately 15% in 2002, approximately 16% in 2006, and approximately 16% in 2010. Among Grade 10 girls, approximately 21% report feeling a lot of pressure because of school work in 1994, compared to approximately 26% in 1998, 21% in 2002, 22% in 2006, and 23% in 2010.
