Social Marketing Roundtable

To inform the development of a public information strategy for Healthy Living, a roundtable was held on September 23 and 24 in Ottawa with representatives from different levels of government, non-governmental organizations, academia and the private sector. The meeting included presentations and working sessions on various issues related to social marketing and public information, and how they could apply to the Healthy Living Strategy. The session provided an opportunity for stakeholders to work together to determine how to move forward with recommendations on public information gathered through the consultations and the Healthy Living Symposium.

Following the Roundtable, participants sent research and reports relating to social marketing, health communications and public information and healthy living, with a specific emphasis children and families.
