Organization Description The sponsoring organization, the Canadian Institute of Child Health (CICH) is a national, charitable organization founded in 1977 to promote the health and well-being of all children and youth in Canada, and has a successful history of developing and implementing initiatives to increase public understanding and awareness of child health issues. CICH is a well recognized advocate for children. Project Title and Description FAS/Eout: Fetal Alcohol Spectrum/Effects Outreach Project Fourteen community organizations participated as pilot sites and in total 1,370 professionals, parents and community members attended the pilot training events. The dissemination of current research and information on alcohol use and pregnancy was presented at workshops and conferences and reached an estimated 2,225 participants.
