Summary: In 2009, the rates of chlamydia among young Canadians were as follows: among youth aged 15 to 19 years, 394 per 100,000 males and 1,720 per 100,000 females; among young adults aged 20 to 24 years, 901 per 100,000 males and 1,871 per 100,000 females; and among young adults aged 25 to 29 years, 557 per 100,000 males and 788 per 100,000 females. Among the overall population aged 0 years and older, the rates of chlamydia were 175 per 100,000 males and 340 per 100,000 females.
