The Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program (CPNP) funds seven projects on Prince Edward Island. One offers culturally sensitive programs for Aboriginal women in Charlottetown; another provides similar programs for Acadian women in Wellington. Six projects are based in family resource centres that receive funding through the Community Action Program for Children (CAPC).

The Carousel Pre- and Postnatal Program is sponsored by the Families First - Voices for Children Coalition in southern Kings County. Carousel provides information and support to pregnant women and new mothers in the areas of prenatal care and nutrition, labour and delivery, breastfeeding, baby and mother care after delivery, infant nutrition, and infant growth and development. A Baby Club and prenatal classes are offered weekly. Carousel also has a lending library of books, videos, breast pumps, and baby monitors.

Programs and services include hot lunches, food supplementation, a New Beginnings Club, a Breastfeeding Moms Group, a lending library for toys, resource material and baby equipment, a baby and maternity clothing exchange, Maggie's Kitchen, a teen program in the high school and resource mothers who provide home visiting and transportation.

Programs include the Special Delivery Club that meets weekly, Building Incredible Babies (BIB) that meets weekly, and Resource Mother Support, which provides one-to-one support in the home. C.H.A.N.C.E.S. assists with transportation and child care and offers additional programs from outreach centres in Stratford and South Rustico.

Services include a resource lending library, and programs include a Healthy Baby Club that meets weekly, a Support Mothers Service that provides one-to-one support in the home, a Teen Parent Support Group, and Mother to Mother, a support program for teen mothers who are not in school.
