In addition to its routine HIV surveillance systems, the Public Health Agency of Canada is also implementing and maintaining enhanced HIV surveillance systems. These systems include strain and drug resistance and second generation surveillance systems (known as the Tracks surveys).
M-Track -- HIV, viral hepatitis (hepatitis C), sexually transmitted infections and related risk behaviours among gay or bisexual men and other men who have sex with men; and
I-Track -- HIV and Hepatitis C- associated injecting and sexual risk behaviours among people who inject drugs.
Strain and Drug Resistance -- tracking the distribution of HIV subtypes and drug resistant HIV in Canada.
